Late February Warner Bros released the track listing in anticipation of the release of the soundtrack for V for Vendetta.
Now, two weeks later, Warner Bros is ready to show off samples from each track.
V for Vendetta Soundtrack
The score for V for Vendetta was composed by Dario Marianelli. The composer is known for films such as Pride & Prejudice (up for an award) and The Brothers Grimm.
The track list we had posted previously has been reposted below. The official site for V for Vendetta now offers a Jukebox that allows you to play a small sample from every track of the soundtrack.
1. Remember Remember
2. Cry Me A River – JULIE LONDON
3. "...Governments Should Be Afraid Of Their People..."
4. Evey's Story
5. Lust At The Abbey
6. The Red Diary
7. Valerie
8. Evey Reborn
9. I Found A Reason - CAT POWER
10. England Prevails
11. The Dominoes Fall
12. Bird Gerhl - ANTONY & THE JOHNSONS
13. Knives And Bullets (And Cannons Too)
The first track for V for Vendetta begins by sounding a lot like the music from MIB. However, the later tracks definitely have a sound of their own, which is very dark with occasional march sequences. A lot of the tracks also convey the sense of suspense with rapid drums and quickened beats.
Overall, the original score for V for Vendetta sounds pretty freakin' good. Is that MIB I hear again?
