Disney/Pixar has recently released the second vehicle to appear in the showroom for their upcoming animated film Cars. Beginning with McQueen, Pixar has now released Mater, the hick tow truck shown in every trailer.
Cars Character Images
Disney's 'showroom marketing' has allowed the studio to distribute an exclusive character image to a website of their choice. Though the updates have been slow coming, we should assume that the showroom does keep interest up on the film. The latest character release was sent over to ComingSoon with an image that shows off the tow truck named Mater and a great tagline for the film-- "Our Cars Talk for Themselves."
Cars Mater
An interesting fact about the image above is that it is based off of the showroom image of Mater. However, it is hard to tell whether Pixar actually rendered the entire scene above or just pasted the picture of Mater into a real image. Take a look at the sand... is it real or fake?
