Though we would have been extremely shocked to hear that Superman Returns would be rated anything other than PG-13, it is still nice to have the confirmation.
Superman Returns Gets PG-13
According to ComingSoon, Superman Returns has earned itself the rating of PG-13 for some intense action violence and full nudity. Ok, ok, leave out the 'full nudity', even though that would have definitely peaked our interests.
Following a mysterious absence of several years, the Man of Steel comes back to Earth in the epic action-adventure Superman Returns, a soaring new chapter in the saga of one of the world's most beloved superheroes. While an old enemy plots to render him powerless once and for all, Superman faces the heartbreaking realization that the woman he loves, Lois Lane, has moved on with her life. Or has she?
Superman's bittersweet return challenges him to bridge the distance between them while finding a place in a society that has learned to survive without him. Superman Returns updates that we have been anxiously awaiting include a full trailer (or second teaser), feature poster and new video diaries (will there be any more?).
Superman Returns will fly into theatres on June 30, 2006.
