Here is a brief update for all of you fans anxiously awaiting updates on Spider-Man 3. No there hasn't been a confirmation on Venom yet (that ship has sailed), but a rumor is beginning to circulate the net with info on when we can expect to see the teaser trailer for the next installment in the Spider-Man franchise.
Spider-Man 3 Teaser with Talladega Nights
According to the recent reports, it looks like Columbia Pictures is looking to attach the teaser trailer of Spider-Man 3 with the Will Ferrell comedy Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. We know, not exactly the same genre. However, the release of Talladega Nights couldn't be at a more perfect spot for the release of the teaser and Columbia must figure that those in favor of watching Will Ferrell are most likely fans of a web-slinging hero as well.
So, how long do we have to wait for Talladega?
Before you begin expecting to see the teaser any day now, Talladega Nights does not hit theatres until August 4th. Yes, that does mean we have about a five-month wait on the film, but at least that gives Columbia Pictures enough time to finally give us a damn confirmation on what villain Topher Grace is playing. We 'know' it is Venom, with or without the press release.
Even when you know you are pretty it is still nice to have the compliment.
To help pass the time I guess we are just going to have to take an even harder look at the reflection in Spider-Man's eye (promo image) to help create further endless theories into the film.
