Now that The Da Vinci Code is ready to hit theatres the next big question for Ron Howard is what to do next. The director has already signed up for the film East of Eden but the film remained his only project in line after Da Vinci.
Since Ron Howard is one of the few directors whose name guarantees great films, one film on the to-do list just wasn't going to cut it. Fortunately for us, Universal Pictures has got on the ball and has both Howard and Grazer set to create Last Man Home.
Howard and Grazer for Last Man Home
According to Variety, Universal Pictures has purchased Jamie Moss' script Last Man Home for Ron Howard to direct and Brian Grazer to produce through Imagine Entertainment.
Set in the days just before President George W. Bush launched full-scale war in 2003, Last Man Home revolves around a covert U.S. military unit that is on the hunt for an AWOL American soldier in Iraq. The soldier is looking for his brother, who went missing when fighting in the first Gulf War.
Imagine Entertainment has a slate of films coming our way that includes Spike Lee's Inside Man and Ron Howard's The Da Vinci Code.
There is no word yet on when Last Man Home is expected to enter production.
