The Wild
Computer generated films continue to impress. With the release of new movie stills for Disney Animation's The Wild, I may just have to retract what I said about Over the Hedge being the best-looking animated film to come our way. The movie stills look terrific and the animal character look all too real at times. I can only stare at the image of the hippo and the geese and assume that the next round of animated films that will come our way might as well replace live-action.
Hot damn these look good!
The Wild Movie Stills
Looking at computer-generated movie stills such as these for The Wild makes me wonder what new marvels we can expect from upcoming CG sequels such as Shrek 3. Shrek 2 featured quite a few shots that would have fit into live-action unnoticed, so what is next in store for us?
I still have to give Over the Hedge props for amazing 'sets,' though it does look like Disney is beginning to break out some of their more detailed scenes as well.

The Wild
The Wild could unfortunately be mistaken for Madagascar by the time the film hits DVD. Therefore, Disney has a lot of work on their hands to make sure that this does not happen. It would also be nice to see Disney have a CG hit that didn't require the use of Pixar.
The Wild comes to theatres on April 14th.
