Ever since the summer we have been discussing how Kate Beckinsale is a likely candidate for Joss Whedon's upcoming project Wonder Woman. When Whedon was asked on whether he had some likely candidates, the director mentioned that he was looking for a 'young' Wonder Woman for his 'coming of age' story.
Though we did not know how young he was talking about, we figured that it still would have been too risky to drop down to Peter Parker's age (Spider-Man, high school) and thought we'd best leave our fingers pointed at Beckinsale.
Hell, she was even caught wearing a Wonder Woman outfit while out one Halloween night.
Therefore, we figured we'd be able to shout 'Beckinsale' until Whedon could give us a confirmation or at least a list of suggestions. But it now looks like we have hit a bump in the road and there is another, younger, actress dying to play the part.
Lindsay Lohan Wants Wonder Woman
According to The Sun, Lindsay Lohan has expressed her desperation to play Wonder Woman in the upcoming Whedon movie.
"I'm trying to find roles right now that are different to anything I've done to show my abilities, to show that I have some sort of stretch in me.
"Because most of the things that I've done so far are aimed at younger girls and are light-hearted."
The suggestion is an interesting one, as Lohan would be able to either play the part as a younger (high school) or older (drinking age) Wonder Woman. However, isn't she a bit too skinny now to look appealing in spandex?
If we are talking about the Lindsay Lohan from Herbie: Fully Loaded then this would be one heck of an idea. But if we are talking about the cracked out Lohan witnessed on magazine covers some time back, then let's take a pass.
