Got another early review for Constantine,
based off of the story Hellblazer, thanks to Moviehole.Net. After
watching the international trailer for Constantine, I really wanted
the film to be good. It looks good, has a great supporting cast, and a damn
cool idea. However, while the early reviews seem to be warming up slightly
to the film, they are still not all that positive.
Early Constantine Review Says Film is OK
MovieHole.Net recently received another early review for Constantine,
starring Rachel Weisz and Keanu Reeves. This is probably the most positive
review I have read for the film so far. Check out a couple snippets:
The movie to me was a fairly decent ride with some decent special effects thrown in.
Keanu is always going to be Keanu, so don’t ask for much more than what he can do as an actor. Also know that he has a great cast behind him that will make him look better while he’s on the screen. One of them is Rachel Weisz, whose very good performance makes this movie a much better film that I think it needed to be and the next is Djmon Hounsou, whose brief appearance as a Shaman who owns a club that is populated by half breed demons and angels is a real treat to see. Tilda Swinton and Gavin Rossdale do well as celestial beings from heaven and hell and Shia LaBeouf even does a good job here and that’s really says something because he can get on your last nerve if he’s playing the usual part he always plays.
Well, besides taking a dump in Keanu it seems that the film is somewhat
worthy of a theatre visit. To read the entire review head over to MovieHole.Net.
