Warner Bros must have been sick and tired of all the villain rumors circulating the net for Columbia Pictures' Spider-Man 3 and figured they needed a piece of the action. Beginning about three months ago, we have received at least one update a week on who the next possible villain could, yes, could be in the upcoming sequel to Batman Begins. Judging by all the rumors, it does look like we can definitely expect both Harvey Dent and the Joker; but who will play these roles?
Lachy Hulme as the Joker
While all of the recent villain rumors for the upcoming Batman installment have included big names such as Jude Law, Josh Lucas, Jake Gyllenhaal, Paul Bettany and even Steve Carell, the latest rumor to appear over at BatmanonFilm is most likely someone that most has never heard of. With only the role of Sparks in Matrix Revolutions as a 'major' appearance, Lachy Hulme could turn out to be the fresh face Christopher Nolan has been looking for.
BOF was the first site to report that Australian actor Lachy Hulme was in the mix to play The Joker in the BATMAN BEGINS sequel. We were also the first to tell you that “They” were looking at British thesp Paul Bettany. We’ve been told by more than one trusted source that Hulme is THE front-runner for the role.
The site goes on to admit that Paul Bettany still has his list of supporters and is another highly probably choice for the role of the Joker.
