Sharon Stone
One of our longtime scoopers, 'thethirdwheel,' recently ran into Sharon Stone at the Basic Instinct 2 premiere Monday night and got the actress to discuss some of her upcoming projects.
Besides mentioning Bobby, a film starring her and directed by Emilio Estevez, Sharon Stone mentioned a couple possible sequels that we haven't ever considered.
Sequels for The Specialist and Total Recall?
Below is the scoop sent in from 'thethirdwheel,' aka 'phoenix,' earlier today:
Here's a bit of a first-hand piece of news for you, for once.
I went to the Basic Instinct 2 Premiere on Monday night . My sister-in-law's company was the catering company for the night, so we
swindled three tickets. Pretty uneventful evening, nobody - besides the cast - were very famous or anything. And the most entertaining
thing on the night was listening to the audience 'heckle' when Sharon got her top off ("what is with her boobs?!" - someone yelled).
Anyway, after the film, in the foyer, I got to shake her hand - masses of people were congratulating her on her 'fine' performance - and ask
her a couple of 'very quick' questions. First of all, her next movie is "Bobby" with Emilio Estevez. I also asked if there are any more sequels
she wants to do. She said she thinks the company that made the first "Total Recall" might be doing one, but that she won't be in it because
her character is dead. "I would have loved to of though". She said she's talked to Sly Stallone, though, about doing a "Specialist" sequel a
couple of times. She then thanked me for coming etc. She was actually quite nice. I heard she was a bit of a psycho - - - but I didn't think
so.
Since Sylvester Stallone is a big on doing sequels lately, maybe we can expect him to come back for a Specialist sequel.
Sharon Stone can be seen in Basic Instinct 2, opening in theatres today.
