X-Men 3 Theory- Shadow King?

Shadow King Shadow King first appeared in The (Uncanny) X-Men #117
We have received a ton of rumors/scoops this April Fools weekend (coincidence?) and figured at least some of them were worth a read.

The first email/'scoop' we reported yesterday about a possible The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air movie (here). Though this latest email is not necessarily a rumor or a scoop (though we are pretty damn sure it is false), it is quite an interesting theory for X-Men 3: The Last Stand.

X-Men 3: The Shadow King?

Over the weekend I received an email from 'tariq', who I have also been told goes by the name 'phoenix force,' and he/she has supplied an interesting theory (jacked from copycast, who now admits to the April Fools farse) claiming that the true villain in X-Men 3: The Last Stand is Shadow King. I have recently dispatched a few emails for shits and giggles to see if anything could come up on this.

source with connections to the production of X-Men: The Last Stand has revealed that one of the most hush-hush details about the film's story is its main villain. While Magneto and Dark Phoenix stir a lot up, they are both unwitting pawns of a much bigger figure lurking in the... well, we'll get to that part in a little bit once we reveal who that villain is. Before we get to the revelation, let's examine aspects of the film that have been revealed already.

First, the primary plot is that of a 'cure' for mutancy. It brings both Beast and Angel into the picture, and supposedly will cause at least a few mutants (amongst them rumored to be Rogue and Mystique) to lose their powers. The film's trailer suggests that Leech - a mutant with the ability to negate other mutant powers - is the source for the cure. Mystique says, "The source of the cure is a mutant," when the trailer cuts to Callisto saying to Magneto, "More powerful than you."

Like where this theory is heading? Then check out the whole segment HERE.

Remember, it is April Fools Weekend... so be careful of the rumors and news currently revolving around the internet. (if this report was a steak, you'd take it with a bunch of salt)

Stay tuned for updates.
