In our final 'scoop' received over the April Fools weekend (keep your guard up) we are told that Freddy vs. Jason vs. Michael Myers and an Elm Street prequel may be a possibility after all.
Freddy to Return
'Jessica' alerted us that pitofhorror recently talked to Robert Englund about upcoming projects including Hatchet and a possible return to Freddy.
Sounds like FREDDY VS.JASON VS.MICHAEL is closer to becoming a reality.
Robert Englund talked about the film - apparently it will be a prequel, set before Laurie Strode's (Jamie Lee Curtis) death in "Halloween Resurrection" - with noticeable optimism. And he confirms that talks are underway with John Carpenter!!
Talking to Pitofhorror.com, Englund says it would "take place before Jamie Lee is killed in Halloween 8. Almost as if Freddy Vs. Jason vs. Michael Myers happened in the nineties or something. Kind of like Alien 2 goes to Springwood or something, bring back Jamie Lee’s daughter (Jamie Lloyd) and maybe she could have some sort of goth expertise that would make it to where these guys couldn’t stand a chance. I’d love to give Jamie Lee something to sink her teeth into as an actress. Throw away the pills, throw away the cigarettes, throw away the little bottles of Vodka…"
BUT FORGET THAT.....Here is the BEST NEWS.....
John McNaughton ("Henry Portrait of a Serial Killer") is going to direct the ELM STREET PREQUEL!
Says Englund, "I will tell you that John (Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer) McNaughton is tapped to direct. I think it should go the "CSI" route and be sort of like a docu-drama that shows his crimes against the children. Then you cast two of the greatest character actors you can find to play the lawyers that get him off. Then of course it leads up to Freddy being burned alive."

This should be the end of all the April Fools rumors and reports received in our box over the weekend. We received a ton of misguided information and have to admit that some of them had me in hysterics.
