The Simpsons
Though the plot to The Simpsons Movie is being protected like a fat guy would the last donut, media agencies around the globe are working to discover every last detail about the film.
The Simpsons Crew
After the arrival of The Simpsons Movie teaser trailer last weekend one of the biggest unknowns to surface was who the crew would be working on the film. Sure, Matt Groening was a given, but the options opened up after him.
According to a report by the Australian Magazine The Age, the writing crew for The Simpsons Movie will include Groening, Brooks, Jean, Scully, Ian Maxtone-Graham, George Meyer, David Mirkin, Mike Reiss, Matt Selman, John Swartzwelder, and Jon Vitti - all series veterans.
They also go on to mention that the producers will be James L Brooks, Matt Groening, Jean, Scully and Richard Sakai.
Who can we expect to see/hear in the movie you ask?
The series' regular voices of Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, Yeardley Smith, Hank Azaria, Harry Shearer, Pamela Hayden and Tress MacNeille will return.
Guest starring in the movie will be US lawyer Erin Brockovich, who had a film made about her, British actress Minnie Driver and Albert Brooks, Fox said.
The only detail The Age forgets to mention is who will be directing the film. Fortunately Reuters has picked up the slack and discovered that Monsters, Inc. co-director and The Simpsons Alum David Silverman will helm The Simpsons Movie.
Fox seems to think that The Simpsons Movie is going to go beyond all the wildest expectations from the fans. Considering that expectations are either at an all-time high or at a doubtful low, Fox is going to have a lot to prove in the first real trailer.
Stay tuned for updates.
