"I Might be Back"
Back in November we reported that Warner Bros was ready to move forward with Terminator 4 when producer Andy Vajna confirmed that the film was in the "final phases of development" and that it would most likely kick off an entire new trilogy.
In the report it was also mentioned that the trilogy is expected to cover the Connor family and give Arnold Schwarzenegger's character (for the most part) a back seat.
In the latest update from Vajna, the producer claims that not only do they have a location spotted for Terminator 4 but they are going to shoot with or without the governator.
Terminator 4 Updates
According to TheSydneyMorningHerald, Andy Vajna is looking to Australia to shoot the next Terminator film; with or without Schwarzenegger.
"We were thinking about Australia. We have been looking at the Warner Bros Studios down there but it is early days," Vajna told AAP from the set of his current film, Children of Glory, in Hungary.
"That would be probably early next year."
Warner Bros is hoping for a late 2007 release of Terminator 4. "We have the script ready and we are now looking for a director and figuring out what the next step is," said Vajna.
Warner Bros is hoping to have Arnold for at least a cameo but his political agenda could be a major setback. Therefore, we might have to warm up to the idea of a new muscular face as head terminator.
Stay tuned for updates.
