After rumors began to circulate around the internet about a confirmed release date for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, the good people over at HPANA went on the case.
And what did they find?

HPANA, who we can only assume has the best of connections with Warner Bros, discovered that the release date for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix will be July 13th, 2007.
According to the site, Warner Bros had hoped to get the July 13th release date but nothing was official until now.
The only problem is that the date somewhat conflicts with the speculated release of the seventh book in the Harry Potter series. The predicted date for the book is currently set at July 7th, something that may cause the film and book to pull attention away from another rather than boost the hype.
Though we had expected the release date of the film and the book to be somewhat close (a month or more), these dates are uncomfortably close.
Because of this dilemma, it is now expected that one of the release dates will change in order to accommodate the other. But does that mean the July 13th date is now not for certain? Talk about going in a full circle!
For a bit of good news, producer David Heyman announced that the teaser trailer for Order of the Phoenix will come out before 2006 closes out.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix will be released on July 13th, 2007... maybe.
