Super Troopers
With the release of Broken Lizard's Super Troopers moviegoers learned what funny really was. When news broke that the same crew was going forward with a film titled Club Dread, fans couldn't have been more thrilled.
The only problem was that Club Dread was not, well, what we had hoped; but that doesn't mean we still don't have nothing but love for the comedy group.
Therefore, we are hoping that Broken Lizard head, Jay Chandrasekhar, will find that fourth time's a charm.
Broken Lizard are Ambulance Chasers
According to Variety, Jay Chandrasekhar has teamed up his Broken Lizard banner with Warner Bros in order to direct the upcoming comedy Ambulance Chasers.
Broken Lizard jumped onto Ambulance Chasers immediately after finishing another film with Warner Bros titled Beerfest. The film features the entire Broken Lizard team and is currently in post-production.
Ambulance Chasers tells the story of what happens when two fiercely competitive personal-injury lawyers fight over a new client.
Jon Zack (Shrek the Third) has been picked up by Warners to pen the script.
The Broken Lizard team, now based on the Warners lot, consists of Chandrasekhar, Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter and Erik Stolhanske.
Chandrasekhar and company also had previous experience with Warner Bros on the set of Dukes of Hazzard; Chandrasekhar directed the film.
