I figure that there have to be some of you getting sick of all the Batman villain rumors, but the latest name was worth a mention.
So far we have seen names like Jude Law, Josh Lucas, Jake Gyllenhaal, Paul Bettany, Steve Carell and Lachy Hulme appear in rumors on who will play either Harvey Dent or The Joker.
Since the names have been all over the reservation, why not throw in Robin Williams as well.
Robin Williams Wants The Joker
In a recent interview with LatinoReview, Robin Williams mentions that he would like to work with Christopher Nolan again. Having worked with the director on Insomnia, Williams is ready for another go. But what projects does Nolan have lined up? Wait a minute! Isn't the sequel to Batman Begins on the top of his to-do list?
Would you work with Christopher Nolan again? Robin Williams: Oh big time. I would work with in a second, I’d love to work with him again, he has that very great English sensibility but yet still its dark and nasty but yet still has the tender and elegance.
Would you then consider taking a role like the Joker for Batman Begins sequel? Robin Williams: Oh God Yeah!
Robin Williams actually has a bit of history behind the Batman franchise. It was said that Williams was a top-runner for the role of The Joker in the original Batman-- beat out by Jack Nicholson --and then tried again with the role of The Riddler-- again beat out but this time by Jim Carrey.
