For those of ou who can't wait for Will Smith to drop the romantic-comedy genre and return to action films, here may be one of the next chances; and it isn't Bad Boys III.
Will Smith to Star in Greenbacks
According to Variety, Will Smith is attached to star in Greenbacks, based on a pitch by Doug Cook and David Weisberg. 20th Century Fox will fund and distribute the film.
Smith will also produce Greenbacks with James Lassiter under their Overbrook Entertainment banner.
The Morocco-set action thriller revolves around an American ex-pat who stumbles across a plot to destabilize the world's economy by mass-producing perfect counterfeit greenbacks.
Doug Cook and David Weisberg are the same two guys who brought us films such as The Rock (yay!) and Double Jeopardy (woo... oh).
Will Smith has been taking the producer-slash-starring role for multiple films lately including the upcoming pic The Pursuit of Happyness.
