I laughed more at this still than the entire movie.
For those of you who enjoyed the Stiller/Vaugn film
Dodgeball, better start clapping the hands as there is a sequel
in the works. I, on the other hand, can't believe they are making
a sequel for this horrendous film. They tried to find comedy in a guy thinking
he is a pirate! Stupid! Anywho, here is the latest developments.
Rawson Thurber Asked to do Dodgeball Sequel?
Considering Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story made ~$166 million
in theatres, it comes as no surprise [to some] that 20th Century Fox is
more than willing to order a second round of this comedy. Here is a snippet
of a scoop posted over at comingsoon.net:
Long story Short: We gushed about Dodgeball and he had some good news for fellow fans - the film was a huge hit at cinemas, and the director has been contacted by the studio about doing a sequel sometime this year. Justin said he's yet to be contacted about it, but he's heard third-hand that it'll be 'everyone' back.
Wow, how exciting [forgive my lack of enthusiasm]. The only thing I can
hope is that they make the Dodgeball sequel much, much, better.
By the way, Rawson Thurber is the guy who directed and wrote the original
Dodgeball.
