All the King's Men
Though originally positioned to be released last December, Columbia Pictures pulled their upcoming title All the King's Men off the lineup for an indefinite period. After three months of waiting, the picture house has finally found a date that suited them.
All the King's Men for September
According to Variety, Columbia Pictures has rescheduled the release of All the King's Men -- starring a huge cast that includes Sean Penn, Jude Law, Kate Winslet, James Gandolfini, Mark Ruffalo, Patricia Clarkson and Anthony Hopkins -- just out of reach of summer with a September 22nd release date.
The film's release date coincides with that of MTV Films' Jackass 2.
Absolute power corrupts absolutely in writer-director Steven Zaillian's (Schindler's List) adaptation of Robert Penn Warren's classic novel All the King's Men featuring an all-star cast led by Sean Penn, Jude Law, Kate Winslet, Patricia Clarkson, James Gandolfini, Mark Ruffalo, Anthony Hopkins.
All the King's Men charts the spectacular rise and fall of a charismatic Southern politician, "Boss" Willie Stark (Penn). Law co-stars as Jack Burden, the once idealistic, now embittered ex-reporter who unwittingly fuels Stark's corrupt political ambitions.
All the King's Men comes to theatres on September 22nd.
