Avi Arad, who has been in the spotlight ever since the beginning of X-Men 3: The Last Stand, has again popped up for an interview discussing the ideas behind the film and how it relates to our society.

For those of you burned out on listening to Avi Arad, actor Bill Duke (General Trask) has recently sat down for an interview as well.

X-Men 3 Set Footage

The good people over at MPM recently caught up with Avi Arad and, like all the recent discussions with the Marvel CEO, dived into the larger issues behind X3 and how they can possible relate to today's moviegoer.

MPM: You mention co-exist, when really the “cure” becomes an issue of conformity. Some of the characters may rather conform and live an easier life?

AA: They may. Look throughout history. Let’s say Jews of the world chose, in Roman times, just to convert, then with the Greeks, then in 1492 with the [Spanish] Inquisition (if they’d been given a choice). There isn’t much “Let’s do it so we don’t have to deal with this any more.” Human nature doesn’t want to do it. In the Second World War, this little corporal, Mr. Hitler, decided that even if you are no longer [Jewish], look into your past, and if two or three generations ago there was a Jew, you still go to the gas chamber. The point is, you are who you are. You can convert, you can turn, you can change, [but] someone is going to refer to who you were versus who you are today.

One actor from X-Men 3 that has remained out of the media's eye -- though his character obviously exists from the trailers -- is Bill Duke. Playing General Trask, the character will have a hand in the creation of the sentinels.

The good people over at BlackFilm recently caught up with Bill Duke and were able to have quite a few X3 questions answered.

So having seen both films, and then being directed by Ratner, could you tell there if the style will be different?

BD: I think that there are details to a degree. A lot of stuff was against the green screen and I did not get to work with all of the actors at one time, but with the green screen, we were told what happened before and what happened after; so you’re acting to a black screen but his description of that was very dramatic and very vivid.

Are you signed for a sequel, if the franchise continues?

BD: No, but verbally, I’ve been told that if things go well, there’s some interest in me continuing in the process of the character.

X-Men 3 comes to theatres on May 26th.
