When we finally received our first life-sized taste of Davey Jones for Pirates of the Caribbean 2: Dead Man's Chest we were thrilled. However, Disney is quickly learning how much it sucks to try to out due the brilliant original-- a film that not only entertained audiences but pushed the limits of film effects.
How can they possibly beat the army of skeletons from Curse of the Black Pearl? Well, they are trying and Davey Jones, along with his crew of henchmen, seems like the obvious solution.
Dead Man's Chest Concept Art- Hadras & Maccus
Disney recently gave AICN two new concept art images that feature two of Davey Jones lead henchmen. Hadras & Maccus are their names and they seem to be struck by the same half ocean half man curse that Davey Jones shows off. Though we have had a good glimpse of Davey Jones, Disney has only teased us with Hadras & Maccus with a quick blip in both the teaser trailer and Super Bowl spot.
Can't remember? Watch the trailer again and look for the two, uhh, characters that emerge from the water. One looks like a man and the other looks like a hammerhead creature.
Still can't find it? Well then check out the screenshot from the trailer HERE.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest- Hadras
"Here's a first look at conceptual designs and maquette busts of two members from Davy Jones' crew. Hadras & Maccus sail aboard the Flying Dutchman, their bodies assimilating elements of the sea itself under the curse of Davy Jones."
Check out the full image above plus the other henchman over at AICN.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest comes to theatres on
