Frank Oz To Helm Death at a Funeral
According to Variety, MGM has added Sidney Kimmel Entertainment's indie comedy Death at a Funeral to its slate of films for distribution.
The film will be directed by Frank Oz and is based off of a screenplay by Dean Craig. Matthew Macfadyen (Pride and Prejudice), Peter Dinklage (Find Me Guilty) and Ewen Bremner (Snatch, Black Hawk Down) will star in Death at a Funeral.
Oz, who is also set to begin working on New Line's dark comedy Horrible Bosses, has not helmed a film since 2004's The Stepford Wives. Frank Oz is credited with other films such as Bowfinger and The Score.
Death at a Funeral revolves around a dysfunctional Brit family as they gather to mourn the passing of their patriarch. But a sober, heartfelt goodbye turns into calamity.
