After bringing herself back up to a more healthy weight it looks like the young Lindsay Lohan is ready to follow the lead of veterans such as Jane Fonda.
Lohan and Fonda for Georgia Rule
According to Variety, Jane Fonda and Lindsay Lohan have been picked up to join the ex-transvestite Felicity Huffman (Transamerica) in the upcoming film Georgia Rule.
The film will be directed by Garry Marshall, who will also write and produce.
Though the project has yet to find a banner to rest under, Morgan Creek's Guy McElwaine and David Robinson are looking to correct that issue.
Story centers on a rebellious young woman (Lohan) who has a dysfunctional relationship with her mother (Huffman) and is sent to spend a summer with her grandmother (Fonda).
Director Garry Marshall is known for similar female dramas including Pretty Woman, Beaches and The Princess Diaries.
Morgan Creek and Marshall are hoping to begin filming Georgia Rule by the end of summer.
Felicity Huffman can currently be seen in the ABC television series Desperate Housewives. Lohan, who has a large film presence for 2006, can be seen in the upcoming films Just My Luck, A Prairie Home Companion, Bobby and a pic on the assassination of John Lennon titled Chapter 27.
