Back in January we reported that actor Josh Lucas was finally approached about the rumor of him playing Two Face in the sequel to Batman Begins. Though Lucas admitted to not being approached by anybody from Warner Bros, he also went on to state that he was game for the role.
Well, MTV recently checked back in with Lucas and discovered that the actor is working to make Harvey Dent a reality.
Josh Lucas a Two Face?
MTV recently caught up with Josh Lucas and got him to dive into a few more details concerning the Batman villain rumor. It turns out that Lucas has fully looked into this rumor himself and has approached Warner Bros about getting the part.
Now it may happen again after months of support for an actor fans have deemed perfect for a role in the upcoming "Batman Begins" sequel. "I had heard that, when I was doing press on 'Glory Road,' " Josh Lucas said of rumors he would play District Attorney Harvey Dent (and eventual villain Two-Face) in the superhero sequel. "Some of the people started asking about that, and [back] then I didn't know anything about it. I went and talked to Warner Bros. about it, because they're making it, and obviously I would love to do it. I think it's a great character.
I like that someone could go from being bad to good and back and forth and light and dark, but also I think [series director Christopher Nolan] did an amazing job. And Christian Bale did an amazing job too. Christian and I did 'American Psycho' together, so it'd be like a reunion of sorts."
Josh Lucas would fit the bill since he has the look of a friend to Christian Bale's Bruce Wayne and he has the ability to pull off that half-classy style. However, I am still hoping for a smaller actor to fill the role such as Liev Schreiber.
