The Omen
It is hard not to have a negative outlook on The Omen considering it is a horror remake and has been lacking in updates. The first poster for the film didn't help with its yawn-tastic qualities.
Fortunately for 20th Century Fox, the latest media update, the feature trailer, is the best looking update we have seen for the film.
The Omen Movie Poster
You know what can liven up a kid's birthday party? How about a chick giving her final words to the birthday boy shortly before hanging herself after an extended drop? Yeah, now that's a party!
If it weren't for the latest trailer for The Omen and the impressive supporting cast I would already be verbally abusing the crap out of this disturbed child. Depending on how Fox swings the updates from now up until the film's release in June, they may have what it takes to keep interest around this horror.
With all the tentpole films quickly coming our way, however, Fox is definitely going to have to give a lot more than they currently are if they want people to remember to see this movie.
We are also still hoping that Fox gives us a sweet feature poster for The Omen to make up for the last one.
A remake of the 1976 horror classic, the new film takes the tale of the coming of the antichrist – personified as a young boy named Damien – to an even more thrilling and visceral level.
The Omen will be released to theatres on June 6th, 2006 (6-6-6).
