Nacho Libre
When Paramount released the first announcement/trailer for the Confessionals of Nacho
Libre, what they should have warned us is that they'd have almost nothing to do with the film.
Hell, I could go grab a video camera and video tape me and my friends hanging out. The only problem is that I don't know how I'd market that.
Nacho Libre Confessionals
Paramount Pictures has released Confessionals #10 ("Jack's Shiner") and #11 ("Jack is Tired"). "Jack's Shiner" starts off strong with Jack showing off a bit of stitching he needed done above his eye after a mishap on the set of Nacho Libre. I had hoped the clip would have gone a step further and actually shown the footage from the accident. Instead we get to see Jack Black getting stitched up first hand. The clip is cooler than some of the other Confessionals, but how about some behind-the-scenes footage?
"Jack is Tired" is straight up horrible and, without exaggeration, made me tired by the time I was done watching it. Picture this -- me sitting with a handheld gaming system playing poker while you watch with a camera for a little over a minute. If I knew people were interested in watching that I would setup my camera to record me typing this article; and then I would post it online to punish you.
So boring!
Jack Black stars as Ignacio (friends call him Nacho), a Mexican priest who moonlights as a lucha libre wrestler to raise money for his orphanage in this comedy from the creators of Napoleon Dynamite and the writer and star of The School of Rock.
