Here is our first preview of the upcoming action adventure romp Pathfinder starring Karl Urban, Moon Bloodgood, Russell Means, Clancy Brown, Jay Tavare, Nathaniel Arcand and Ralf Moeller. Though we initially hadn't given this film much hope, the trailer proves that the film could stand a chance to make a few dollars over the summer.
Pathfinder Synopsis, Trailer and Stills
An action-adventure set in the time when Vikings tried to conquer North America, Pathfinder tells the heroic story of a young Norse boy left behind after his clan shipwrecks on the Eastern shores. Despite his lineage, the boy is raised by the very Indians his kinsmen set out to destroy. Now, as the Vikings return to stage another barbaric raid on his village, the 25 year-old Norse warrior (Karl Urban) wages a personal war to stop the Vikings' trail of death and destruction. Forging his own path, his destiny is revealed and his identity re-claimed.
Pathfinder
I have always had high hopes for Karl Urban (Lord of the Rings Trilogy) and continue to hope that the actor will one day find a starring vehicle that turns into box office gold. Sure, I don't think Pathfinder is necessarily that film, but it is enough to remind audiences of his face.
The trailer for Pathfinder is surprisingly well done. Except for a couple touches that feel very, well, Uwe Boll, the trailer makes Pathfinder look like one heck of an adventure flick. Now if they can only do away with the silly font displayed at the end.
