Instead, Disney is offering a contest through MySpace that will allow selected winners to view the full trailer for Pirates early. Better yet, the winners will be allowed to hand the streaming link off to friends; pick me, pick me!
Dead Man's Chest Trailer Early
One Lucky Fan will be chosen to be the first person to view the never-before-seen trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, and have the opportunity to send it to all of his or her friends before anyone else!
You have the chance to view the new, never-before-seen trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, which will debut in theaters on Friday, May 5th. To be eligible to win, you must be a friend of Pirates of the Caribbean (just click on "Add to Friends"). On Monday, May 1, 2006, a winner will be selected at random and notified that he or she is the recipient of the trailer. On the same day, the winner will be given the trailer in the form of a link and a tag with the ability to virally spread it to anyone he or she desires - via e-mail, instant message, bulletins, blogs, etc. This lucky fan will also have the opportunity to attend the film's press junket in June in Los Angeles, and interview talent from the film as a press correspondent for MySpace. Additional prizes (e.g., posters, soundtrack CDs, or other promotional items) will be awarded to every 10,000th member to sign up for the community and every 10,000th person to stream the trailer.
All you have to do is head over to the Dead Man's Chest profile setup over at MySpace and get playing. The profile also offers some added features for the upcoming film.
