Iron Man
I have been a big fan of Jon Favreau ever since the days of Rudy. Sure, it was most likely Swingers that really sold me on his character but the guy has had such an interesting mix of projects in Hollywood that one can never tell what he is going to do next.
Favreau has had a hand in projects including Friends, Deep Impact, Very Bad Things, The Replacements, Daredevil, Elf, Green Street Hooligans and Zathura. Can you see any type of trend here?
Seriously, the guy has no consistency.
Well, chalk up another interesting move by the director - slash - producer - slash - actor, as he will be making his return to the superhero genre.

Earlier this week we were alerted to the script review for the upcoming Iron Man project. The review appeared over at LatinoReview and the site claims that the script is 'good enough.' Though that is not exactly what fans like to hear it is enough to have Paramount move forward with the project.
According to Variety, Paramount Pictures and Marvel Studios have picked up Jon Favreau to direct the upcoming Iron Man adaptation.
Iron Man is a recent move in the latest campaign by Marvel Studios to roll out multiple superhero pics thanks to $525 million in independent financing from Merrill Lynch. All future films but one -- The Incredible Hulk -- will be distributed by Paramount Pictures under a previous agreement.
Iron Man, Marvel's top priority, also has nabbed writing duo Arthur Marcum and Matt Hollaway to polish the script.
Arad said the intent is to use the $525 million Merrill Lynch debt facility to finance Iron Man and the Hulk, even though those titles were not among the 10 listed when the deal with Merrill Lynch was struck last spring.
Budgets on Marvel pics are expected to be between $50 million and $165 million.
Marvel hasn't committed to put any of its pics into production yet, though it's hoping to release the first one by 2008. Iron Man and Incredible Hulk are furthest along and thus most likely to hit that date.
Though it was recently reported that Captain America has been pushed aside for the time being, Avi Arad claims that he is trying to make the project Marvel's next top priority.
