Paramount Classics is looking to reunite Motley Crew with the upcoming adaptation The Dirt.
The Dirt on Motley Crue
According to Variety, Paramount Pictures indie division, Paramount Classics, is looking to adapt the 2001 book The Dirt: Confessions of the World's Most Notorious Rock Band.
The project has shortened the title to The Dirt with Larry Charles in negotiations to direct.
Considering that the film is based on a huge rock band that once graced their presence all over MTV, the network's film division, MTV Films, will team up with Par Classics to help produce the film.
The book-- penned by bandmates Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee, Mick Mars and Vince Neil with writer Neil Strauss -- tells the story of the band's rise, complete with all the ups and downs in friendships, on tour and in the studio. Sixx, Lee, Mars, Neil and Strauss will receive exec producer credits.
But what about the female groupies and things - you - wouldn't - even - do - to - a - farm - animal sexual acts?
Larry Charles recently directed the Sacha Baron Cohen (Ali G) comedy Borat for Fox.
There is currently no word on when Paramount hoped to get the project rolling.
Stay tuned for updates.
