Emma Roberts, pop artist and niece to Julia Roberts, has recently been picked up by Warner Bros for a new starring vehicle.
Emma Roberts for Rodeo Gal
According to Variety, Warner Bros has acquired a script from Katie Wech titled Rodeo Gal. The studio and producer Jerry Weintraub plan to quickly fashion the script into a starring vehicle for young Emma Roberts.
Roberts, who recently finished her larger debut with Nancy Drew, will play the title character, a debutante equestrian who falls for a cowboy. Circumstances lead her to enter the rodeo.
Wow, this film sounds like it has got everything to make it the perfect teenie-bopper movie.
Emma Roberts shouldn't be fazed, she recently starred in another teenie-bopper, Aquamarine.
"This is material kids haven't seen, a marriage between the elegant equestrian world and the rough rodeo, with all the conflicts," said Weintraub.
