Ian McKellen recently appeared on KTLA to promote his two films The Da Vinci Code and X-Men: The Last Stand. Fortunately for all who were watching, the gifted actor brought some clips along with him.
Da Vinci Code and X3 Clips
Ian McKellen recently appeared on KTLA to discuss his role as Sir Leigh Teabing in the tentpole flick The Da Vinci Code and as Magneto in another tentpole flick, X-Men: The Last Stand.
When asked about the added pressure of doing a film where everybody knows the story, McKellen quickly points out that he has done Lord of the Rings, another major blockbuster where everybody knew the story before entering theatres. McKellen then goes on to show a clip from the film that features his character's analysis of "The Last Supper" by Leonardo da Vinci.
The interview then quickly changes gears as McKellen moves onto X-Men 3. After claiming that the story for X3 is the best of the three films, KTLA points out that they also have an exclusive clip from the film that shows an extended version of the scene from the woods. You may recognize the scene from the trailers where we encounter Magneto discussing the 'cure' with his army of mutants.
