Transformers Cast Growing
According to Variety,
Bernie Mac and Josh Duhamel have been picked up to star in Transformers:
The Movie for DreamWorks and Paramount. Casting announcements continue
with production set to begin this month.
Mac will play a salesman who sells Shia LaBeouf's character his first Transformer.
The film, budgeted north of $100 million, now features a cast that includes
Shia LaBeouf, Jon Voight, Megan Fox, John Turturro, John Robinson, Travis
Van Winkle and the latest two editions Bernie Mac and Josh Duhamel.
So far the list previouslly leaked to the web -- a list that included Jon
Voight, Michael Clarke Duncan, Josh Duhamel, Bernie Mac, Tyrese, John Turturro,
Rachael Taylor, Megan Fox, Travis Van Winkle and John Robinson -- seems
pretty close to the mark. However, it has also been mentioned that we should
not count on names such as Michael Clarke Duncan.
Bernie Mac is currently working on P.D.R.
for Lionsgate Films.
Duhamel, who has become popular as Danny in the television series Las
Vegas, will make his first return to Dreamworks since Win a Date
with Tad Hamilton.
Transformers release date is set for July 4th, 2007.
