Here is the movie review that all have been waiting for. After hitting so many bumps in the road on X-Men 3: The Last Stand, 20th Century Fox has been working the past half year to convince fans and moviegoers that the franchise is still strong; even without its leader.

The trailer looks good and some of the TV spots encroach on greatness, but there have not been any early reports on the film to help us prepare for either the worst or best film in the franchise.

Fortunately for us, that is all about to change.

X-Men: The Last Stand Early Review

I don't want to get too excited yet, but AICN has recently received an early review for X-Men: The Last Stand thanks to an early screening of the film. The person writing the review is new to the site, something that would suggest a prank or a fraudulent review.

As of right now we are crossing our fingers that this early report turns out to be true and that many more turn up just like it.

Update: It turns out that this review was a fake after all... so don't get your hopes up just yet.

Hey guys. Guess who got his ass into a screening of X3 (they can call it The Last Stand but we all know what the real title is). This friend of mine snuck me in at the last minute. All I can say they got it right. If the last one was subtitled “X:Men: United,” the subtitle of this one should be: “X-Men Kick the Holy Crap Out of Each Other for 2 Hours.” This isn’t your mama’s X-men. This is full on WAR. The body count is f*ing amazing. Even Xavier finally gets into the action after being unconscious on a slab for most of the previous two movies. I don’t want to ruin the ending, but let me put it this way; you get to see Wolverine’s entire adamantium skeleton. Up close and personal.

One of the things that totally works – Beast. I had real doubts about the casting of this one. Kelsey is the gay shrink from Seattle for Chrissakes! Personally, I always saw Fishburne as Beast. I was wrong. The second you see Kelsey (awesome intro of him in his office), he IS Beast. – perfect voice, attitude and intelligence. One of the best moments in the movie is between Beast and Leech where Beast gets to experience firsthand what a life without his power/curse might be like.

The reviewer does point out a couple flaws in the film but they seem only minor.

Can the X-Men trilogy really finish off with a bang? Hard to say, but check out the entire review on X-Men: The Last Stand over at AICN.

X-Men 3: The Last Stand comes to theatres on May 26th.

Stay tuned for updates.
