Comedic actor Dax Shepard continues to see his film career with a new comedy that will take him up the corporate ladder.
Shepard for The Retreat
According to Variety, New Line Cinema has picked up Dax Shepard to star in the corporate comedy The Retreat directed by Tom Brady.
Penned by King of the Hill scribes Alan Cohen and Alan Freedland, the film will be produced by Guy Walks Into a Bar partners Jon Berg and Todd Komarnicki.
The Retreat tells the story of a a thirtysomething hot dog vendor at Chicago's Wrigley Field who lands a job at a corporation, climbs the management ladder thanks to the simple wisdom he's picked up selling franks and discovers at a company retreat that he's the target of sabotage by a disgruntled employee.
Dax Shepard has been picking up roles left and right with the upcoming films Employee of the Month, Idiocracy and Let's Go to Prison. Shepard has had starring roles in Without a Paddle and Zathura.
Director Tom Brady has a filmography that includes The Hot Chick and The Animal; both of which starred Rob Schneider.
