To find a director to create the latest martial arts film, Warner Bros saw a man who had both The Fast and the Furious and Stealth under his belt as the perfect choice.
Rob Cohen to Direct Arrow
According to Variety, Warner Bros has picked up Rob Cohen to direct Arrow, a martial arts film that will be written by Brandon Noonan.
Cohen came up with the idea for Arrow, who then brought it to Noonan.
Looking at the director's filmography you would assume the story is about a team of martial arts-wielding gangsters who drive around in fast cars as they attempt to destroy a robot ninja that was struck by lightning and therefore on a killing spree across the city. Ok, ok, that's not the real story; but it would be interesting.
No plot information has been given about the project.
Upcoming projects for Cohen include Big Bosoms and Square Jaws: The Biography of Russ Meyer, King of the Sex Film and a live-action adaptation of the Japanese anime Kite, which he's producing with Anant Singh.
