Amy Adams, who played a fabulously scandalous role in the smash hit Cruel Intentions 2 (please mind the sarcasm), has been picked up to join Underdog.

According to Variety, Disney and Spyglass have picked up Amy Adams to play the lead female role in Underdog. Though I loved her 'I'm so slutty' stint in Cruel Intentions 2, the young actress has made some noteworthy appearances in film including the Oscar-nominated Junebug, The Wedding Date and Catch Me if You Can.
Disney already has Jason Lee and Peter Dinklage signed up for Underdog with Frederik Du Chau to direct.
Judging by the look of the cast I figure Disney thought it was time to bring in a little eye candy for the male viewers (picture to the right); plus this girl can really act.
Spyglass' Roger Birnbaum, Gary Barber and Jonathan Glickman are producing along with Jay Polstein. Eric Ellenbogen and Bob Higgins will exec produce.
