World Trade Center Poster
Similar to the feelings I, and many others, had towards United 93, it just seemed that World Trade Center has come a bit too soon. Again we are asking ourselves if we are ready for a look back at the tragic events of 9/11 but this time we are given resolve, hope and more courage.
World Trade Center Trailer
I did not know what to expect going into the trailer for World Trade Center and have to say that I ended the clip thoroughly impressed. The trailer, which takes a look at the true story behind two trapped Port Authority policemen -- John McLoughlin and Will Jimeno -- seems to draw more on inspiration rather than the disaster. At least, that is what I got from the trailer.
Besides the message, the trailer is also very well done, comes complete with amazing visuals and a stunning sequence where we see the building coming down from the inside.
Academy Award®-winning director Oliver Stone tells the true story of the heroic survival and rescue of two Port Authority policemen – John McLoughlin and Will Jimeno – who were trapped in the rubble of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, after they went in to help people escape. The film also follows their families as they try to find out what happened to them, as well as the rescuers who found them in the debris field and pulled them out. Their story shows how the best in people rose above the tragic events of that day.
