Here is a brief update for all you fans of Superman
Returns anxiously counting the days until the 2nd feature trailer gets released. Though there is still no word on the exact date that the trailer is set to hit the web, the preview is definitely completely and ready to enter the can with X-Men: The Last Stand.
Superman Returns Trailer Details
It turns out that quite a few people have seen the new trailer for Superman Returns; or so they say. Though one or two conflicting reports wouldn't raise any eyebrows, multiple reports claiming the same thing is something worth looking into.
According to the reports, the trailer will have a lot of the same footage from the feature trailer released the past two weeks plus the footage from the Smallville spot. Add in more sound bytes, dialogue, shots of Superman flying and fans should think of the new trailer as a slight improvement over the first one. There is, however, one scene that does have fans drooling.
According to every report that has hit the web, there is a scene that shows more of Superman getting (harmlessly) drilled by that chain gun (looking thingy). The reports say that we will get to see a close-up of one of the bullets hitting Superman smack dab in the eye. Normally an eye would implode under the impact and most likely allow the projectile to lodge itself somewhere in the dome, but in Superman's case his eye crushes the bullet and the fans get to watch it slowly drop to the floor.
Remember that devious grin that Superman gives in the Smallville spot? Well, he supposedly gives that grin right after the whole bullet-to-the-eye scene.
