Though we are still anxiously awaiting the release of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, Disney has done what I can only call a jump to the future by releasing what looks to be a picture from the third Pirates of the Caribbean installment.
Pirates of The Caribbean 3 Image
With a guarantee for success thanks to the wildly successful Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, Bruckheimer was greenlit to move forward with not one but two sequels. Therefore, not only can Disney save a buck or two on the total production of what now looks to be a trilogy but they also get to release the third installment only a year after Dead Man's Chest.
Besides all that, working on two productions at once also made it possible for fans to see new media from the third installment long before the second installment hits theatres. Though this image has not been confirmed to be from the third film, it does look like that's where it belongs.
Jack Sparrow -- dressed in some type of Asian military uniform -- returns in what is expected to be titled Pirates of the Caribbean: World's End.
You can check out the full picture of the spiffy new Jack over at DVDRama.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest comes to theatres on
July 7th, 2006.
Update: This picture is a fake; photoshop at its best.
