Kevin Spacey
Kevin Spacey has no problem being a villain. After a few small stints in films such as The Usual Suspects and Se7en, Kevin Spacey has begun to go on another run of villains beginning with Lex Luthor in the upcoming tentpole flick Superman Returns.
But it doesn't end there, as Spacey is now ready to take on another superhero -- Santa Claus.
Kevin Spacey for Joe Claus
According to Variety, Warner Bros has picked up Kevin Spacey to play the villain in Joe Claus. The comedy, starring Vince Vaughn and Paul Giamatti, was originally titled Fred Claus but the studio ran into some title clearance problems.
Vaughn stars as the loser brother of Santa who joins his sibling at the North Pole.
John Michael Higgins, who just worked with Vaughn in The Break Up, has joined the cast as Santa's head elf. Judi Dench will also star in the film.
The production of Joe Claus begins this fall in London. The schedule works out perfect for Spacey as it allows him to continue his work as artistic director of the Old Vic.
