Grandma's Boy DVD
I was really sorry that Grandma’s Boy didn’t last longer in theaters. I actually wanted to see what a movie by Adam Sandler’s friend would be like. He plays all those one-off characters in the Sandler movies, so what sort of character would Allen Covert create with his sensibilities? You obviously wouldn’t expect a masterpiece, but it’s certainly comparable to all the Sandler or Rob Schneider movies.
Grandma's Boy DVD Review
Since the funniest scene is a masturbation joke, I was happy that there’s an entire extra feature devoted to it. It goes into way too much analysis of the doll’s position, the screams, and the raw takes of every angle. I love it.
Another documentary is on the monkey. Since monkeys are awesome, anything extra footage dealing with a monkey is awesome.
All the features with titles relating to smoke seem to be alternate takes. There’s some funny stuff but I don’t understand the organization of these versus deleted scenes. Considering some of the scenes are included in both sections, it’s really weird.
