Little Green Men
Whit Stillman has come out of 'retirement' to join the ranks of Little Green Men.
Whit Stillman to Direct Little Green Men
According to Variety, Whit Stillman is ready to drop out of an eight-year hiatus and return to movie directing with the adaptation of Little Green Men.
The film is a Washington, D.C., insider comedy about a political talkshow host who's plucked off a golf course by aliens after a particularly probing presidential interview concerning America's space program.
The production has already begun to look for comedic actors to take lead roles in the film. Depending on how quickly Golconda Films can pull this off, the film could enter production this year.
"Whenever Mr. Comedy Star wants to do it, that's when we will," said the helmer. "If he wants, we can do it in his backyard, and there's even a part for his girlfriend."
Little Green Men was penned by Sean Bates and Gregory Mackenzie, who co-heads Golconda with Brett Walsh. The film will be the first directed by Stillman that he has not penned himself.
