With all of the teaser trailers we have been given so far for Clerks II, it looks like Kevin Smith and The Weinstein Company figured why not one more in preparation of the Cannes Film Festival.
Clerks II Stills, synopsis and Title
Completely unlike the other trailers before it, this latest trailer for Clerks II has a single purpose -- convince moviegoers that Clerks II is not going to follow the stupid clichés that fall on other, exploited sequels. With their promise comes no recycled catchphrases -- which they do parody repeatedly in the film -- and a brief mention on why they did NOT take a shot at Snakes on a Plane.
Because they are too afraid of Samuel "Damn Right That's My Weaner" Jackson, that's why. Actually, Snakes on a Plane is not a sequel, so no point bringing the hyped film into the debate.
Since the new teaser for Clerks II appeared on YouTube we can go ahead an show it above.
Clerks II will hit theatres on July 21st.
