Walt Disney Pictures has updated the official site for Pirates of the Caribbean 2: Dead Man's Chest. The updated site comes with the usual basket of gifts and finally got rid of the floating chest that seemed to have no purpose but annoy me.

The updated website features a grip of nice new additions but they come at a price. Besides the usual downloads which include icons and wallpapers, the updated site features one cool World Map that requires you to unlock certain quests/games in order to access various spots. Though I enjoy the added involvement in the film, I wish there were an easier way to get a preview of some of the locations we will visit in this second Pirates installment.
So far all the big-budget films have been going pretty big with added marketing including five new TV spots from Warner Bros for Superman Returns. Considering that Dead Man's Chest is going to go head to head with the latest installment Superman, I am hoping that Disney starts cranking out clips by the beginning of June.
