Home Improvement S4
Back in the ‘90s, TV sitcoms started taking a cue from the Burt Reynolds/Jackie Chan handbook and showing outtakes under their closing credits. It was always fun to see the actors cut up after we’ve just seen the flawless final product.
Home Improvement S4 DVD Review
Now the Fourth DVD release of Home Improvement includes a full blooper reel promising some never before seen outtakes. Of course I can’t remember what’s aired on TV and what didn’t, but unless they’re lying, it’s great to see new treasures.
A lot of them are just making each other laugh, which is classic camaraderie if not hilarious. Flubbed lines are funnier, but actual production mishaps are the best. If a show about an inept handyman has stuff not work, the irony is beautiful. A bit with a crane cam is oddly amusing too.
The video quality is poor and sometimes there’s no audible sound, but to me that just makes it more authentic. It’s still the crappy VHS days, like a time capsule!
Stay tuned for updates.
