The World's Fastest Indian DVD
Debuting on DVD June 13 from Magnolia Home Entertainment, The World’s Fastest Indian is “a story of speed, daring and tenacity… some of the most
pulse-quickening racing scenes since the heyday of Steve McQueen” (Craig Outhier,
Orange County Register) and is “mandatory viewing for anyone who has ever said ‘I’m getting too old for this’” (Jeff Strickler, Minneapolis Star-Tribune). In 1967, Munro packs up his lovingly customized 1920 V-Twin Scout Indian Motorcycle and begins his journey across the world from Invercargill, New Zealand to Utah’s Bonneville Salt Flats to see just how fast his bike will go. Burt’s magnetic personality attracts and inspires those he meets along the way.
“A wonderful feel-good movie. Will have you standing up and cheering” (Pete Hammond, Maxim). Burt remains legendary in the motorcycle community to this day. Written and directed by Roger Donaldson (The Recruit, Thirteen Days) and co-starring Diane Ladd (Wild At Heart) and comedian Paul Rodriguez, The World’s Fastest Indian DVD will become available on June 13th for purchase.
The World’s Fastest Indian DVD special features include an exclusive bonus film, also directed by Roger Donaldson, which is the original documentary (1971) – “Offerings to the God of Speed” featuring historical footage of the real Burt Munro. This documentary is being made available to the US market for the first time ever. Additional special features include: Southland – Burt’s Hometown of Invercargill, The Making of The World’s Fastest Indian, feature audio commentary with Writer/Director Roger Donaldson and deleted scenes.
