The one problem with keeping your film shrouded in secrecy is that attracts the attention of just about everybody. The same goes for James Cameron's Project 880. Predicted to be everything from Aquaman to Battle Angel, a new leak of information has occurred that brings the curious one step closer to figuring out just what Cameron is up to.
Project 880 Plot Info
The good people over at MCN have recently posted what looks to be a casting announcement for none other than Project 880. Though most are hoping this new information will bring us closer to figuring out what Cameron is up to, the details are out of this world.
STORYLINE: In the future, Jake, a paraplegic war veteran is brought to another planet, Pandora, which is inhabited by the Na'vi, a humanoid race with their own language and culture. Those from Earth find themselves at odds with each other and the local culture.
[JAKE (FORMERLY YOUNG MALE LEAD)] Early- mid 20's. Caucasian. Angry and jaded, he harbors a grudge against the world and his current situation. Highly intelligent and creative, he hides his softer side behind a thick wall of issues. Having suffered great tragedy, he is scarred both emotionally and physically. His encounters with the local indigenous culture changes his life.
[NEYTIRI (FORMERLY YOUNG FEMALE LEAD)] 16 - mid 20's. Female. Any ethnicity, including Caucasian, but exotic in some way…"other". Jake's lover and teacher, a Na'vi native of Pandora. She moves and behaves with confidence and a sense of nobility. Lithe as a cat. Athletic and agile, she is a warrior. Graceful movement and an ear for languages and dialects are essential.
I figuring throwing in the second character would help us come to some sort of conclusion; obviously it doesn't. However, check out all the characters for Project 880 at MCN.
