While we have been waiting for updates on Warner Independent's A Scanner Darkly, YouTube has been out collecting.
Scanner Darkly Clip
If you take the time to search around YouTube for a little while you are bound to find one or two working clips for the film. Working I mean complete and, obviously, with sound.
One such clip feature Robert Downey Jr. and Woody Harrelson as they discuss rogue gears on a mountain bike. A lesson for drug users here -- when you get high all the time there will be a point in your life when you can't figure out how many 'speeds' a bike has. Hence, rogue gears.
The scene shown is direct out of the book and I got to say that I like how it turned out.
When it comes to early reviews for the film, they seem to be going down hill ever since the first positives appeared months back. Expect a closer look at some of these reviews as the release of A Scanner Darkly closes in.
